In order to be an officer in the Canadian Army, one must complete Officer Candidate School (OCS). OCS is a challenging 12-week program that develops leadership, decision-making, and physical fitness. During OCS, candidates are put through a variety of demanding training exercises and activities, both in the classroom and in the field. Upon successful completion of OCS, candidates are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the Canadian Army.<\/p>\n
