The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) has announced that permanent residents of Canada are now eligible to join the military. This change will come into effect on November 11, 2022. Prior to this, permanent residents were only allowed to join the military through the Skilled Military Foreign Applicant (SMFA) program.<\/p>\n
