Americans interested in joining the Canadian Army must first meet a number of eligibility requirements. These include being a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, being between the ages of 18 and 54, and having completed high school. Those who meet these requirements can then begin the application process, which includes completing an online application, taking a written exam, and undergoing a physical assessment.<\/p>\n

There is no process to join the Canadian Army as an American.<\/p>\n

The Canadian Forces Recruiting Group is currently accepting applications from trained personnel from foreign militaries. These applicants include pilots, logistics officers, infantry officers and other skilled professionals who may be eligible for enrolment in the CAF if they have permanent resident status in Canada.<\/p>\n

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) have announced that permanent residents of Canada are now eligible to join the military. This change will come into effect on November 11, 2022. Prior to this date, permanent residents were only allowed to join the military through the Skilled Military Foreign Applicant (SMFA) program.<\/p>\n
