The United States Army is the main branch of the United States Armed Forces responsible for land-based military operations. It is the largest and oldest established branch of the U.S. military, and is one of seven U.S. uniformed services.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Army is a professional organization and therefore does not take sides.<\/p>\n

What side does US Army go on uniform? <\/h2>\n

Identification badges are to be worn centered between the first and second button on Page 2 of the uniform regulations. On the female blue uniform, a single branch insignia is to be worn on the left lapel only, 1″ below the notch. It should be aligned parallel to the inside edge of the lapel. A single “US” is to be worn on the right lapel, aligned as the branch insignia.<\/p>\n

The military salutes in a variety of situations, including during military funerals. If you are not in the military, you can show respect by placing your right hand over your heart when the soldiers salute. You can cue off the soldiers to know when to do this.<\/p>\n

Patches are a way to show pride in your service to the United States military. They are given to soldiers after 30 days of service, and for other experiences and journeys that have been complete in your line of duty. Wearing a patch on your uniform is a way to show others your dedication to your country and to the people you have served with.<\/p>\n

If you are on active duty in the military, you cannot simply quit. You are obligated to see your commitment through, both contractually and perhaps morally. However, you could be discharged from duty early if you are physically or psychologically unable to perform your duties.<\/p>\n

In military basic training, you will be required to wake up at 5 am every single day. This is an adjustment process that is the same for every single basic training class.<\/p>\n

When in uniform, members are expected to maintain a certain level of professionalism. This means that personal displays of affection, such as kissing and hugging, are typically frowned upon. There are some exceptions to this rule, however. For instance, moderate kissing and hugging is acceptable when a loved one is coming home from deployment or returning from a long assignment.<\/p>\n

There is no uniform code dictating where an American flag patch should be worn. However, it is considered appropriate to wear the patch on either the left or right sleeve.<\/p>\n

How do you wear US Army patches <\/h3>\n

There are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to the placement of patches on your uniform. The US flag should go above the unit patch on your right shoulder. Your name tape should go just above your ACU’s right breast pocket, while your branch tape goes on the left breast pocket. For your ASU, you will attach your enlisted rank patch to the outer part of each sleeve, between the shoulder and the elbow.<\/p>\n
