The United States Army has over 700 bases in more than 70 countries, including Spain. While the majority of these bases are small facilities used for training and support, there are a handful of large, full-fledged Army bases in Spain. The largest of these is the Rota Naval Base, which is located in the southern region of the country.

There are no US Army bases in Spain.

How many US military bases are there in Spain?

Spain is home to two US military bases: Rota Naval Station and Moron Air Base. Rota Naval Station is located in the southwestern corner of the country near the city of Cadiz, and is used as a base for the US Navy’s Sixth Fleet. Moron Air Base is located in the central part of the country near the city of Seville, and is used by the US Air Force.

The US has a long history of service members stationed abroad, and the current deployment of around 4,000 service members is just the latest example. The sailors stationed on each ship play a vital role in keeping the US safe and secure, and their families are also an important part of the equation. Deployments can be tough on families, but the support of loved ones back home can make all the difference.
