John is a very accomplished individual. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy in 1975, summa cum laude. He then went on to earn his law degree from Baylor University Law School in 1984. John is a highly educated and intelligent person who has achieved a great deal in his life.

The College of Charleston is a great school for business and finance students. Lovell did very well there, becoming a four-time All-American in sailing. He now juggles sailing with family life and a career as a Certified Public Accountant.
