This will include learning about the chain of command, military customs and courtesies, and the Army’s history and traditions. You will also have the opportunity to meet other soldiers and to learn about their experiences.
By the end of your ten weeks, you will have a solid foundation in the Army’s core values, physical fitness, and military skills. You will be ready to take on the challenges of Army life, and you will be able to contribute to the Army’s mission.
Do you still get paid after leaving the military?
An employee’s civilian pay remains the same for periods of military leave under 5 USC 6323(a), including any premium pay (except Sunday premium pay) an employee would have received if not on military leave.
